Well Hello, So I have been requested to think about and write ten things that I have learned during my mission.... I have not finalized the list yet, but be expecting it at some point. This last week, unfortunately, was another very very wet one!! Once again, I am hoping for less rain.... But it was still a good week. Busy, but good.

Tuesday we did some contacting in the morning and found some new people and then in the afternoon we saw Domonique and had a good lesson with her. She has a hard time always remembering everything but she is progressing slowly. In the evening we headed out to a little village called Urt where we went and visited a family that is partially active. We had a nice time with them and were able to share a good message with them.

Wednesday we had to wake up really early and we headed to do an exchange with Tarbes. I went to Tarbes with Elder Miller and Elder Tulley came to Bayonne with Elder Peart. We had a couple lessons in Tarbes, one with a family that they found the week before and they are awesome. Really looking for some serious answers in their life, it is great!

Thursday we headed to Pau for our District Meeting. It went really well and everyone participated. After the District Meeting we headed to catch our train but missed it by 2 minutes. We were in big trouble because it was the last train for hours and we had a rendez-vous in another city that is far away from Bayonne. We called the senior couple in Mont-de-Marsan that so kindly picked us up and drove us all the way out to Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Thanks Elder and Sister Johnston!!! We made it to our lesson with the family out there and had a really great lesson. Afterwards heading to the train station we got drenched in the crazy rain!!!! We were soaked.

Friday was pretty busy. We were supposed to see Jean Louis but he cancelled. In the afternoon we had our missionary meeting with the ward leaders and then saw Stephane at the church and had a pretty good lesson with him, he is going through a difficult time for the moment. We then went and saw Domonique and had another pretty good lesson with her. In the evening we went and finished some pass backs and had a lesson with Soeur Koné.

Saturday we had English class in the morning and then in the afternoon we had a lesson with a Polish guy that we had met earlier in the work and then fixed a lesson to see his wife and saw for the next week, yay a family! We then did a bunch of pass backs and stopped by and saw Madam Desclos. We then headed to Biarritz to see Frère Vierrat and his sons and we had a good lesson with them and ate way too many crêpes!

Sunday was a great day at church and we had three people come. We then went home and did our weekly planning and then headed out to Biarritz to see Maria and Ramond. We had a fairly good lesson with them and then went and passed some less active there but couldn't find any of them. We headed back to Bayonne and passed some other people before coming in for the evening. It was a good week. We seemed to spend a lot of time in trains and such but it all worked out well. I hope everything is going well for all of you. Know that I love you. Have a great week!

Hello!!

Well let me just tell you all, I forgot my jacket at the church yesterday and of course it had my agenda in it. So, to give you a complete update on the week will be a little bit hard, so I think it is going to just be in a general sense. It was a really good week, even with all of the rain.... Thankfully today the sun is shining and I hope that it will continue for this week!

We had some good lessons with our investigators with baptismal dates, they are progressing fairly slowly but still progressing. We had several meals with members this week that were great. Each time we spend time with members, active or less active, I am surprised and truly blessed by their faith and their love. To be a member of the church presents already some difficulties living in the world also but being in France and not having as many members around for support, makes things even more difficult with temptations and pressures but I am continually impressed and edified by the example of the members that are here. They aren't as numerous as in many other places but they have an enormous amount of faith and trust. I also wanted to give you a little update on Eva. She is doing well and was confirmed a week at church. Her Father and Mother came, which was an enormous miracle and her father even wanted to come back the Sunday after!! I cannot believe sometimes the miracles that can happen but everything in her life has been changing in remarkable and wonderful ways since her baptism and I could not be happier for her! I can't wait to see how the gospel will continue to bless her in her life.

This next week promises to be a new one and I am sure that we will be blessed in our efforts. I know this email isn't long but I hope that you enjoyed it. I hope you truly know how much I love you. You all have been great strengths in my life at one point or another. I appreciate each and every one of you and everything that you have done, do, and will continue to do for me. Have a great week and enjoy every moment that we are blessed to have!!

Sorry this letter is late.....

Hello!
Well I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoyed Easter. We had a fairly calm one with quite a bit of rain but it was still nice. Thankfully it is warming up today and I am looking forward to a bit of warm weather.

Tuesday started the rain and we did some passbacks in the morning and then in the afternoon went and saw our investigator Domonique until it started raining too much outside and she went back in and we had to head to Biarritz, a city next to Bayonne, to see another investigator, Maria. We had a nice lesson with her before heading back into Bayonne to see the Ousdale family, which is a less active family. The kids really seemed to like my accent, maybe even making fun of it a bit. Ha! Not entirely sure why but whatever. We had a nice lesson with them and then passed some people in going home.

Wednesday morning we went and saw Sister Konè and her son and had a nice little lesson with them. In the afternoon we had a rendez-vous fixed but he wasn't there so we passed a less active and her and her family was there and we were able to have a nice lesson with them. We then headed back into Bayonne to the church to see Jean-Jouis. We had an awesome lesson with him and engaged him for baptism!

Thursday we headed into Pau and had our District Meeting. It was really good and afterward the older couple had fixed lunch for us and it was so delicious!!! In the afternoon I went on an exchange with Elder Gubbay in Bordeaux and so we spent a good 2 and a half hours driving up there. We did some contacting and had some lessons, it was a good day.

Friday morning we re-exchanged and spent a significant time in the train... the entire morning, heading back to Bayonne. In the afternoon we had our meeting with the mission leader and then a lesson with our investigator Stephane and had a good lesson with him. We then went and saw Domonique again and had a pretty good lesson with her about the restoration. We then went to the church to make some calls since it was raining so hard.

Saturday we went for English class... but no one showed up. So we headed in for lunch and then did some pass backs and some contacting and then visited a member for a bit and then headed out to do some door to door until we went to another member's house to eat. We then headed in.

Sunday was great, of course because it was Easter and we had a few investigators that came to church. We came in and Elder Peart wasn't feeling good so he slept for a little bit and then we headed out and passed some people, fixed a couple lessons for next week and then we came back in to do our weekly planning.

In all, it was quite a good week. We didn't have quite as many lessons as we wanted but we were able to fix already quite a few for this next week, so it is looking pretty good. I hope that you are all doing well. I love you and know that our Savior Jesus Christ also loves each and everyone one of you. Have a great week!

Hello,

Well it has officially been one week here in Bayonne and it is beautiful here! The weather is great, the beaches are beautiful, of course that isn't why I am here but a nice scenery doesn't hurt anything. :)

Tuesday was the day that I sent my last email but in the afternoon we went to the Ward Mission Leader's house with a less active and her husband that is not a member. We had a nice time and watched the film about Joseph Smith.

Wednesday in the morning, we went and saw Soeur Konè. We had a good lesson with her and we were able to give a Book of Mormon to one of her neighbors, which was pretty cool! In the afternoon we passed some people and then saw Dominique, our investigator with a baptismal date. We had a good lesson with her and then had to go to Biarritz, which is right next to Bayonne (we take the bus a lot) to see a less active. Well, she didn't show up for her rendez-vous so we headed back into Bayonne to see another less active, Christina, and we had a really good lesson with her.

Thursday we went contacting in the morning and found one new person that we fixed a rendez-vous with and then ran into an old investigator that they lost contact with and we were abe to fix a lesson with him for the next day, it was great. In the afternoon we went to the hospital to see one of our investigators, well rather the husband of the investigator and then we went and passed by another less actives, there are quite a few here, and then passed some other people before going in.

Friday, in the morning, we had an awesome lesson with our investigator Madam Desclos! It was great and she said that she would be at English Class and at General Conference on Sunday. Afterwards, we went to the church for our meeting with the Ward Mission Leader and then had a lesson with Jean-Louis at the church. He is a younger guy that is super cool and nice. We had a great lesson with him and then headed to the the Horner Family, which is a less active family. We had a nice lesson with them and got them to start reading again in their scriptures. We then headed out to eat dinner with Frère Vierat and then came home.

Saturday we had English class, Jean-Louis, Madame Desclos, her children, and a couple members came and it was really good! We then hurried to go see Pascal, a recent convert, and had lunch with him. We then did some passbacks and contacting until Conference started.

Sunday was General Conference for pretty much the entire day! It was great! I hope that those of you who watched it enjoyed it. We had three investigators that ended up coming, which was awesome!

I hope that all of you have had a great week and will have a great week this week as well. I love you all and pray for you daily. Hope to hear from you soon!
